Burundi Bavyeyi IV, New Release
Some coffees are memorable because of their flavour. Others because of the story behind them. This one delivers both.
Our Burundi Bavyeyi IV comes from the remote, high-altitude hills of Ngozi Province, where generations of smallholder farmers cultivate exceptional coffee at 1,800 metres above sea level. Roasted light to showcase its vibrant character, this naturally processed Bourbon bursts with juicy notes of blood orange and passionfruit, balanced by a smooth chocolate finish.
"Bavyeyi" means "parents" in Kirundi—a tribute by JNP Coffee founder Jeanine Niyonzima-Aroian to her mother, who grew up in Ngozi and helped harvest coffee cherries to pay for her education. Today, JNP Coffee partners with a farmer-owned cooperative of more than 2,000 members, many of them Muslim women, providing quality support and agronomic training to help produce extraordinary coffees while strengthening their communities.
This is a coffee that celebrates both place and people—a vibrant expression of Burundi's rich volcanic highlands, generations of coffee-growing tradition, and the families whose dedication is found in every cup.
