One of the many reasons we roast at KWCC is because it helps us provide high-quality coffee beans. One way we’re able to obtain our high standards is by roasting on a 10kg Mill City Drum Roaster.

Why not just buy a cheaper coffee roaster?
Because it may not produce as high of quality results. We actually do have a sample coffee roaster. We use it at home when trying out new beans or ideas. It can be a fickle lil thing that has little issues that sometimes pop up but we personally deal with that on a small scale. The main point being that it only affects us.
What we don’t want are inconsistencies affecting the fresh coffee we are providing to you.
Why not use a bigger coffee roaster?
Our current roaster size strikes the perfect balance between efficiency and freshness, ensuring every batch is roasted and delivered to you at its peak. It allows us to roast a batch of specialty coffee beans that can easily be sold in a short period of time. While it may be easier to roast less often by roasting larger batches, that could result in our coffee not being as fresh as we want it to be when it reaches you.
